“Celda 237” is a thriller that seeks to immerse the audience in the claustrophobic reality of Tommy, a young man who has been kidnapped and abused since the age of 11. The films “Fallen Angels” (1995), “CLIMAX” (2018), and “Gretel & Hansel” (2020) serve as our primary sources of inspiration for cinematography direction. We chose to use shots with wide-angle lenses close to the characters, allowing the audience to dive into the tense atmosphere experienced by Tommy, our protagonist.
